Need help choosing a 500GB internal for MBP late 08

Hello there. Just asking if anybody has any HD's to recommend for my macbook.
Want to make sure i can get the most reliable and i need your help.


Seen a couple but i'm a bit of a noob at new HD"s!

I am going to get the SeaGate Momentus 500GB 7200rpm very soon. The price has been dropping steadily. newegg has it for a tad over $100. Ebay has them for as little as $70 (brand new) if you take the time to bid.

I have seen "buy it now" for $93, plus if you do the bing.com cash back, you can get like $8 -10 back, although it takes like 60 days to get, but it DOES work!!

Just got this Hitachi 500bg 7200rpm drive from Newegg (LINK) for $80 including free shipping.

Now what is the best way to install it? Clean install or copy everything to new drive?

im waiting until tomorrow to do anything, as i think neweggs black friday deals start either tomorrow or early friday... i only have 100GB left on my 250GB 5400rpm internal. iTunes library is most of the usage...
