Need Help cloning hard drive

I have 2 hard drives, and I was wondering, can I mirror one hard drive to the other, as in if I change something on my primary, it will change that on the secondary. as a safety measure if my HDD fails?

One way is to use the app SuperDuper to clone your drive (shareware).

Would that make any changes I make to my primary, go onto the secondary?

Yes, they have an option to "smart update" which does this.
