Hi all,

Question for you all. I have a comatose Macbook Pro 15" A1260. By comatose, I mean that when either adapter or battery power is connected, I get the fans to spin for a moment and then they quit. Other than that, there are no signs of life......no white led, no boot, no dvd drive turning over, nothing. I got the unit for free, but I suspect that there might have been a spill on this unit, judging from the dried liquid I found on the left side of the keyboard after pulling it off. I don't see any issues with the top of the logic board, dried liquid residue, burn/scortch etc. PRAM and SMC reboots remain fruitless.

My question is I suspect that this might have blown a fuse near where the magsafe adapter comes in, but I don't have a schematic to follow. I have not pulled the board yet, as I would like to get more information before proceeding. I have a Fluke DMM and can test for continuity, Ohms and voltages, and I can solder fine connectors very well with a scope.....I just need some insight on this before starting. Any thoughts? Thanks!!
