Hello! I have a foster dog staying with me, and I have a kennel for him for when I leave the house. I want to be able to see a live video of him while I’m gone if possible.

I have 1) a 2020 entry level MacBook Air, 2) a 2017 10.5” iPad Pro, 3) an iPhone Xs, 4) WiFi, home app run by Apple TV.

Is there a way, like Skype or something that will answer automatically? Any help is greatly appreciated!

A relatively inexpensive solution could be an indoor dog monitor / baby monitor camera. They start at around $25 - there are a quite a few on amazon.

I use a Wyze Zoom Pan cam for a similar use. Much less trouble than trying to cobble something together and tie up a Mac to do it.

Wyze cameras are great if you can plug them in. Blink from Amazon is an option (battery powered) if you can't. Blink operates differently than Wyze, though, so you'd have to do some research regarding the limitations.
