I want to get the very best quality HDMI dongle that will transmit but video and sound. Based on reviews on store.apple.com, Apple branded one has spotty reliability. Any other alternatives?

+1 for Monoprice unit. I researched this on MR and found this one to be the most popular with no issues getting audio and video. Also is alot cheaper compared to Moshi and other brands.

I just received this one. Amazon was the middle-man. It was a few cents cheaper than Monoprice and appeared identical, except it didn't have the Monoprice logo on it (a plus). Tested it out, and it works perfectly. I recommend it.

I think these are all from the same manufacturer.
