Hello, I'm pretty new here, but joined because i enjoy Apple products. Right now, i have a Dell computer and am looking into buying a mac. I'm pretty sure I want a laptop but don't need one right away. Im in HS and want my new laptop to last me at least through half of college. I'm thinking about the macbook air when the 2nd revision comes out or just the plain macbook but not sure. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Don't go for the Air; it's missing a lot of things you'll want/need.

Go for the MacBook if you're just going to be doing regular college stuff with no heavy emphasis on photography, graphic design, etc. But if you're into that stuff, you might want to get a MacBook Pro.

But, your best bet is the MacBook. Don't get the Air as your only laptop. You'll regret it.

absolutely-- the Air is the cool new thing, but how practical is it for you? The worst thing o do would be to get it because it's :in" and not have what you need when you need it!

If you want something to last, go with the MacBook-- perfect for a student!!
