I currently have a picture, see attachment
i need to crop out all the jagged stuff outside of the circle, any suggestions on how to do that? i have been messing around with iphoto and aperture...but i new to those and cant seem to get it

Neither iPhoto or Aperture are for pixel level editing. You need to use something like Photoshop or, if you need something free, Seashore.
