When on the "Edit Bookmarks" window, it used to be that I could point the cursor to an individual bookmark while holding down the trackpad button to drag the bookmark up to the top of the bookmarks list. But now, when I try to do that, it ends up highlighting the whole list. What should I do?

Drag to the right first--to grab the bookmark. Then you can move it.
I'm sorry but as soon as I try to drag the bookmark in any direction after clicking on it with the cursor and holding the trackpad button down, all it does is highlight the bookmark blue. :(

I can't think of any reason then, why you can't drag. They all drag for me.

I don't know how. Mine still works. Check your trackpad, mouse, and accessibility settings. Do you have any Safari extensions installed that alter trackpad behavior?

I got it figured out. With the Ventura update, I have to use the side bar to organize bookmarks now. Before that, I was able to use the Safari Edit Bookmarks page. Thanks for all your moral support chabig. :)

I’m very glad that works for you. 😁

The Edit Bookmarks page still works for me. I have no idea why yours doesn’t. Maybe someone else will come up with a suggestion.

If you really wanted to test it on your machine, create a new user account and check the behavior there. That’s a lot of effort though when you already found a workaround.
