Hi guys,

New guy here and having some problems.
I bought and intalled my Pioneer DVR-112D (beige) on my eMac and seems I can't write on high speed.

On the manual says:

- Max Write Speed:
DVD-R - 1x 2x 4x 6x 8x 12x 16x 18x;
DVD-R DL - 2x 4x 6x 8x 10x;
DVD-RW - 1x 2x 4x 6x;
DVD+R - 2.3x 4x 6x 8x 12x 16x 18x;
DVD+R DL - 2.3x 4x 6x 8x 10x;
DVD+RW - 2.3x 33x 4x 6x 8x;
CD-R - 4x 10x 16x 24x 32x 40x;
CD-RW - 4x 10x 16x 20x 24x 32x.

But when I put a:
DVD-R - 4x 6x 8x 12x;
DVD-R DL - only 2x
DVD-RW - 1x and 2x;

And I can't set my DVD to be a multi area code. Anyone knows how to fix it?

What should I do?

Anyone faced such problems?

What speed is the media rated for?

I know when I upgraded my eMac to a DL-DVD drive, I was a bit thrown back the first time I threw in a DVD (rated only for 4x), and only had the option of burning as fast as... 4x. Some 16x media took care of that right quick...

Never hurts to ask, right?
