need help finding karaoke software

plz move this message if it's in the wrong forum

hi, i was at my friend's house using his Wintel machine. He had some program called "multi channel sound manager" or something like that and he was playng mp3's on it. he could remove the vocal track so that only the background music was playing and sing karaoke on his pc essentially (there wasn't the scrolling text or anything but i thought it was cool)

is there a similar mac program for free on the mac? where can i download it? thanks
