I'm running OS X 10.6.3 on my macbook pro. I have VMware Fusion 2 for my Windows XP system. My HDD somehow got corrupted and when trying to restart got the gray screen with the apple and spinning status circle. Tried to do a safeboot by holding SHIFT key wouldn't work. Did the whole resent PRAM and NVRAM and confirmed corrupted HDD. Called Apple Care as this was just getting beyond my abilities and my frustration levels were through the roof. They told me that I had to erase my HDD and reload by backup from my Time Machine. So, I erased the HDD and loaded the backup. Everything on the mac side was fine (note: the HDD was not partitioned, just a mounted image). I went to start my VMware and the file(s) were missing. Where can I find my Windows image/backup to load up? How can I get the Windows system back up from the Time Machine backup? Do I need to install VMware from the disk? But MS Office for Mac was already on there as was VMware. Any help is GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!
