I am looking for "call center" software. Here is what I need it to do.

1) It needs to be able to record a message
2) Have an integrated Excel Phone book import utility
3) Be able to call each number on the spreadsheet and leave the pre recorded message from step number 1 when either a person or machine picks up.
4) Distinguish between successful calls and unsuccessful calls.
5) Be able to recall all unsuccessful calls
6) be able to add callers to a no call list at their option by pressing a letter.

I have been looking for this for a long time and all of my searches met with failure. I hope that someone will know of a good program for this.

you can't find software because the solution is a combo of hardware and software package. It sounds like you either need a ticketing system or CRM setup of some type that works with or in conjunction with a phone tree. what type will depend on how many phones lines, existing phone system installed, number calls, location, wiring, and budget.

You should check out PhoneHerald Broadcast Dialer by Parliant Software...

http://www.parliant.com/phoneherald/?from=versiontracker

It seems to meet your criteria:

"Custom messages can be assembled using pre-recorded sound files or recordings made on the computer with a microphone."

"Permits data import (names, numbers, dates, fields) from standard comma- and tab-delimited text files from databases, spreadsheets and contact managers."

" It manages the process of making calls from start to finish, repeating calls if there's no answer, trying different numbers to reach a person, and keeping searchable, databased records of all activity."

"People called by PhoneHerald can select from many choices in your main message, using the numbers on the telephone keypad to make choices, either single-digit choices, or multiple-digit choices (ending with the # button)."

If its missing some of the features you need perhaps you can write some apple scripts for it or work with the developer to get those features added. I have never used it but it appears to be fairly robust...

Good Luck
