Ok I admit I am quite the iPad newb (first step to treatment).
So my iPad 1 was crushed this morning and is DEAD.
Tends to happen when you forget it on the car roof and it falls off on an on-ramp and you don't realize it for an hour.....yea I know.
Anyway, just bought an iPad 2 and it wants me to sync.
If I plug this in to my Mac book Pro (which is what I used for the iPad 1), will it automatically ask to put all my stuff on the new iPad 2? Any warnings about doing this or which option to choose? I don't want it to over right all my stuff on the MBP with this blank iPad 2.
Thanks for the help.

just choose restore from backup, and whatever the most current backup it will sync to that state.

Thanks

I wanted to double check with you guys before plugging it in and having it do something horrible..... automatically.
Appreciate the quick reply!
