I own a 2011 BMW 550i with the "Soft Close Automatic" door. This feature uses motors and latches to automatically close the door on a car, even if you did not slam the door hard enough for it to completely shut. Being the car nerd and computer geek that I am, I wonder if anyone knows what is the microcontroller controls that feature? I know its not the BCM, but it has to be one of the other units. Let me know if you guys are knowledgeable about this stuff.

Hmmm... open the cover of the fuse panel and have a look over... check the manual also... if you find the fuse.. that will narrow the search..

I believe you'll find that it's entirely self-contained in the motor modules and controlled within each individual door unit.
