Hi, I bought my macbook about a year ago from ebay so its not THAT new, and it also means I wasn't the only owner. I noticed that there were applications on it that usually aren't, including Windows XP. I have a sneaky suspicion that this is taking up a lot of space. I don't know if it just came with the laptop when she bought it, but nonetheless its on here and I dont want it on here anymore. How do you get rid of it? I've never ever used it. And Im thinking about getting rid of other applications too, to free up some space. So all in all, how do you get rid of Windows XP as well as other applications? THANK YOU!!! I need an answer really quick by the way lol.

How is Windows installed on that MacBook?
Via Boot Camp or as a virtual machine in Parallels, VMWare Fusion or some other application?

What specific applications are you talking about? Are they in the Macintosh HD > Applications folder?

Take a look at GrandPerspective to see where all the HDD space is going to.
