I need to add extra memory top my imac, but confused to what i can add
The one i've got now is 1GB
intel core 2 duo
2GHz
No. of processors 1
model name and model identifier - imac imac7,1
any help guys to what i can add as i'm working on a very old system because of the memory issue

You can have a maximum of 6GB in that model iMac in the form of one 2GB stick and one 4GB stick. The most econmincal soltion would be to upgrade it to 4GB by using two 2GB sticks. That iMac takes two 200-pin PC2-5300 667MHz DDR2 SODIMMs.
