Need help hacktivating iPhone 3gs

So I updated my 3GS to iOS 5.0.1 and I don't have a sim card I CAN'T GET A SIM CARD BECAUSE TYE SCANNER OR READER OR QHATEVER TELLS THE IPHONE THAT THERE'S A SIM CARD IN IT is broken. I know that I have to hacktivate it, i just need a step by step tutorial on how to do it, I also need links for what I need to download along with the tutorial.
