Okay, here is my question.

There are a lot of these companies out there that add interactive live people pre-recorded video chats to there websites. The video part is easy.

A. You put a green screen up. Shoot the model on the green screen reading the script. Bring it into Final Cut, Key out the green screen and there you have it, just the model. Saving the file is what I don't understand?

Question, What application do they use to create the video so that it will only show the keyed-out part, ie the human over-top the webpage. If you where to export it as a flash movie you would not get the masked out part unless I am doing something wrong?? I want it to save only the model and when putting it on the website only showing the model like some of the examples below.

Please let me know how they do this and what application they use to save this file?

Below are some example sites.

Flash video embedded over the page

So I guess what you are saying is there is some code that lets me pull the media out without having the flash player used and having the content display on the page again, without the flash player? Can you point me to the resources that will give me the code or instructions for setting this up?

Eastend, Thanks for the post. I cut the part below right out of your post link and I believe this is exactly what I am missing. I will be building this in the next three months. I will give you an update as soon as I get something posted.

9) Open up Macromedia Flash 8. Start a new project. Save it in the same directory as your FLV video you have just made. Go to File->Import->Import Video. Browse for your video, it will then show you the full path. If you are planning to upload this then I would advise just putting the video file name rather than the full path, as it will try and locate it based on that path when its uploaded. You will need to choose Progressive download from a web server, you can choose Embed video in SWF and play in timeline. But the latter only plays while when the flash is fully loaded while the first streams it. Select none for the skin and drop the video object in your workspace.

There is a lot more we can do with FLV in flash using actionscript but ill post more information in another blog entry at a later date.
10) Now all you need to do is add some html:

< param name=“wmode” value=“transparent”>
Below the object tag and:

wmode=“transparent”
In the embed tag. Now you should have a transparent flash that can be overlayed on to your website!

Just being able to provide someone with assistance, makes me feel good all day. But, actually the assistance is named Google.
