Ok - my youngest son made a mistake and locked my IMac from his bother. This happend last Oct and I'm just finding out about it.

I can login into the Find my Iphone and see the Imac but can unlock because the code expires after 30 days. See below.

How can I unlock this? I'm fine with losing the info as it is all backed up.

Please help.

You can look up your passcode for a limited time. If you forget your passcode or can't verify your identity to see it, take your Mac to an Apple Authorized Service Provider along with your proof of purchase.

I'm past the limited time - so I'll have to do the service provider with my proof of purchase.

Thanks for your help
