I have run into a problem. I'm noob  when it comes to any form of Apple Scripting. Here is my situation....

My school is 90% macbook and iMac computers. We have a piece of software that will not work with Safari 6.x. But this software will work with FireFox internet browser. In this 90% of OS X machines most are 10.7 with a few 10.6 mixed in there. This can equal out to 200+ computers total.

I've tried extracting the FireFox.app file from the DMG file and just copying that to a test computer's Applications folder with ARD. ARD copy failed was told I didn't have permissions, even though I was trying to copy as Root.

If it's even possible. I would like some help in creating a script or pkg file that would install Firefox on these computers and place the Firefox program in the Applications folder from ARD Install a Package or by sending a Unix command.

Downloading Firefox.dmg from a localserver, installing it using sneaker net one by one would take forever.:(

Thanks in advance.
