Hi all,
I just received my new unibody macbook today with a 160gb hd and snow leapard installed, I also purchased a new 500gb hd and want to install snow leapard on the new hd how would I go about doing this? (I don't need to do any backup being I haven't even turned on my macbook yet!) I just need to install snow leaprd on the new hd and put it in my macbook.

1. Replace 160GB HDD with 500GB HDD.
2. Start MacBook and insert Snow Leopard DVD or restore DVDs that came with the MacBook.
3. Hold down "C" after the start up chime sounds.
4. The MacBook now boots from the DVD and you can release the "C" key when you see a spinning circle under an Apple logo on the gray screen.
5. Select your language.
6. Go to the Menu Bar and select Utilities > Disk Utility.
7. Select your HDD and format it with Mac OS X Extended (Journaled).
8. Quit Disk Utility.
9. Proceed with the installation process and select your HDD to install to.
10. Wait.
11. Create your user account.
12. Enjoy.
