Need Help! iPhone 4 with ios5 redsn0w tethered jailbreak won't go into dfu

I was updating the bitesms beta and accidentally pressed the home button and my phone just froze on the home screen. It won't turn on using the power button only. I can't enter dfu mode. I think it will go into recovery mode because it shows the itunes logo, but itunes doesn't recognize it. I used redsn0w 0.9.9b4.
