OK, I'll start from the begging. The drive of my PowerBookG4 was getting full mostly from my iTunes library. So I decided to move some of it to my external harddrive. I wanted to have my music with me on-the-go, so I wanted to move only the movies in my library. I read from an other thread that I can do this by changing the labeling the "Artist" category with "Movie" so that in the iTunes library folder all the movies would be put into a folder called "Movies" since it's grouped by Artists. Then move the "Movie" folder on the EHD and make an alias of the folder and put it into the iTunes library folder in my internal drive. Once that is done then I should have all my music with me on-the-go and have exclamation marks by all the movies until I plug in my EHD.

Now here's the problem I have once I did this. On my EHD (the same drive as where I put the "Movies" folder) there is also a *complete* backup of my internal drive. So after I did the process in the first paragraph I *should* be able to play my music without my EHD, but I can't. There are exclamation marks my all my songs and movies. But once I plug in my EHD I can play all my songs and movies no problem. Even stranger is that once I plug in my EHD in iTunes when I right click (CRTL click) on a song and select "Show Song File" it shows me that it's playing the song ***From the backup of my computer in my EHD*** I have made sure that in iTunes Preferences>Advance>General menu the "iTunes Music folder location" is the one in my internal drive, not the external. But for some reason it's still looking for the files in my backup data. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
