I have an Alesis Burst Kit that has a midi out connection. I want to record video with audio with my iPad (7th gen). Either through video recording or GarageBand. I don’t care which way at this point. I have a camera connection kit but when I plug into my iPad I get nothing. GarageBand records through the iPads microphone. The connecter is brand new as is the midi/usb. I’ve tried two midi to usb cords and I know the camera connector kit works because the iPad charges when it’s connected with the lightning cable and my wall adapter. Please help! Tried with both my iPhone and iPad. Both have most recent IOS and are updated. I’m so frustrated and lost at this point. I used to have an old 2011 MacBook Pro that allowed a simple aux cord into the headphone jack and that worked but I traded in for the iPad.
