I'm having trouble succesfully jailbreaking my iPhone 3G, I've tried downgrading to 3.1.2 but iTunes wouldn't finish the restore, and I tried using sn0wbreeze and yet again iTunes would not finish the restore, and recently tried using redsn0w 0.9.3 and could actually jailbreak the phone, but I got no cellphone signal, I downloaded a 0.9.4 version of redsn0w this morning but haven't had a chance to try it yet, if you have any advice or think you might known a way I haven't considered it would be greatly appreciated.

Redsn0w should allow you to jailbreak your phone. Please be aware that you will probably be unable to unlock your phone for use on an unofficial carrier (for instance T-Mobile in the US); updating to 3.1.3 upgraded your baseband (modem firmware) to a version which cannot currently be SIM-unlocked. There is a small chance that, once your phone is jailbroken, you will be able to downgrade your baseband using Fuzzyband to allow a SIM unlock.
