hi im new to this site and i just wanted help with an issue im having.
I just bought a brand new factory sealed macbook pro 2.8ghz mid 2009 model from ebay. i received the laptop last tuesday and immediately noticed that everytime i turn it on the laptop makes a grinding noise close to where the hard drive is, also i noticed yesterday that the laptop has a dent on the top lid which is not from an accident because the laptop has been on my desk since i got it and i havent moved it.
I was looking on the internet and found out that apple has a 14 day return policy and i just wanted to know if i could get my macbook replaced with no problems even though i dont have a receipt for it, the laptop is under my name and the guy from technical support that i talked to today told me that im still within my 14 days and made me an appointment to go to an apple store this friday.
the thing thats actually bothering me the most is the dent on the top screen, thats why i want a replacement instead of them trying to fix the noise problem.
so anyways i just wanted to know what you guys thought, do you think they'll replace it without a receipt or give me trouble about it?
