So i have a MacBook with a broken displau, which has been broken for a couple of years and i kinda figured out i wanted to use it again, so can i get some help on how to use it? i hooked it up to a mac cinema HD Display and tried to press F7 as many other forums has suggested, but it did not work. So i ask for your help to bring back my macbook to life. Picture related, not mine but it is pretty much how it looks like.

Firewire, but is that really a display wire. good god i am such a n00b.

Firewire is an interface to transmit data like files and such, though it is used to transmit video from a DV tape in a DV camcorder to a computer, or to transmit video to a DV camcorder.
But it will not work to transmit video to an external display. Depending on what display you have:

Mini DVI
Mini DVI is a digital common interface on the later G4 12" PowerBook, on Intel iMacs till 2009 and on the white and black pre-Unibody MacBooks and on Intel Mac minis before they changed the design to Unibody.
