Messages in the inbox are downloaded from the server (I can see the count in the mailbox) but they remain invisible. However, I can capture and read them with Tiger's Smart Mailbox function. When I click on the Inbox the 'rebuild' function is grayed. There are no special rules checked. The question is how do I restore the Inbox to full fucntioning so that I can see the messages in the mailbox?

Resolved

In case something similar occurs to another user, for this particular problem I did find a solution. It turns out that somehow the Inbox file did not have an
extension attached to the file name. I added the extension and rebooted and 'magically' all of the messages have reappeared.

Thank you.
Do you mean the '.mbox' extension in the mail folder in the home library?
I am having the same problem.
Thanks
Paddy
