I would like some specific help in transferring all email and email folders over from Evolution (mail) in an Ubuntu (10.x) system to a Powerbook running 10.4.11.
I have tried installing the Novell version of Evolution 2.6 onto the Mac but all it did was corrupt the user account.
So I am asking for help in fully transferring all mail and the way it is structured, and the steps necessary to do this via whatever route to achieve this, if possible.
Any and all help would be very much appreciated.

I find it pretty pathetic that there have been so many views and yet no one has posted anything about this issue. Is there a reason for that? If there are so many people viewing this post then there is a obviously an interest in migrating emails from one system to another. I feel that all the companies involved in creating email programs including those that make Thunderbird are really arrogant b**turds if they do not include an easy way of exporting email folders and messages. And yet this is the one program (email itself) that is used universally everywhere.
When people get unhappy with an upgrade/update and the program goes down the crapper in terms of bloat size, too many useless features, etc, then people will want to move to another program/system. Yet one of the more popular programs, Thunderbird, does not allow for any exporting. And it has become one of the worst email programs out there after version 2.
So does anyone have a solution? Thanks in advance.
