I don't know what is happening to my mac, but since a few weeks ago, the font in some websites started to change to some symbol font and I can't read the content. (see image attached).

Does someone knows what might be the possible cause of this?

Besides this my screen sometimes starts flickering all of a sudden :S
Any help will be apreciated!!

I use chrome, IOS 10.6.8 and my mac it's from late 2007 :S

Have you installed any add ons for Google Chrome? Have you tried another browser?
Does it also happen in another, even temporarily created, user account with Chrome or the other browsers?

Btw, iOS is for iDevices like the iPhone and iPad, you have Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, which is an OS for Macs.

I only use chrome for browsing, so I don't really know if it will happen if I use another one. Besides that, I only have adblock and Xmarks Bookmark Sync as extensions, but I installed them a long time ago.

You could always try. If not, just delete "com.google.Chrome.plist" in Macintosh HD / Users / YOU / Library / Preferences /.
