I got a new PowerBook (running 10.3) w/ Airport Extreme. I'd like to connect the old Performa I have so both machines can share the DSL modem. The 6400's "maxed out", it's got an ethernet card in it which is how I'm using it this morning (running 9.1); I can take the same cable from the Performa & plug into the airport, and the PowerBook's online. I tried this morning to get the two machines to see each other (by plugging a cable from the Performa's card into the ethernet plug on the base station), but no luck.

Is it possible to network them through the Airport base station that will allow the two machines to share the modem (the base has two plugs, one specifically marked for ethernet)? I searched the forums and got WAY too many hits but nothing specific for this situation, so hope I can an easy "how to", or a pointer to instructions.
