I know that one need to take out the battery when he want to add RAM to it but my friend forgot to do so on his pb and now his pb just simply refuse to boot, How to recover? is there any damage done to his pb ?

Thanks

Double check that the ram is seated properly. Take it out and see if it boots then. The powerbook might not be dead at all.

Unplug, remove battery, check RAM seating correctly, install battery, plug in, test. If doesn't work and if he replaced all the RAM chips, repeat the above reinstalling the original RAM, maybe he just fried the new stuff. Best of luck for your friend.

help on dead powerbook

well, we try to remove the ram and boot but nothing happen. Previously he did the same to (he didn't know before) and send to apple service center and it take them 2 months to finish repairing the book. Is there any how to avoid the service center?
