This is what I know so far. After reading through the boards I'm getting:

MBP 15"
Processor: 2,66, because I figured 2,8 is too expensive for so little more.
Memory: 4GB 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x2GB , becuase I can upgrade myself to 2x4GB easily with just a third of the cost, right?
Screen: Landed on Hi-res glossy

So basically what I need help for is the choice of the HDD.
Either way I'm going to upgrade from the original 5400rpm. Here's my two options:

500GB Serial ATA Drive @ 7200 rpm
128GB Solid State Drive

So which one should I get? Is the SSD really that fast that I keep reading of? Should I just go for 7200rpm and upgrade myself when the prices drop?

Get the SSD and stick the stock HDD in the optical bay. I just upgraded my 3 year old MBP 15 to SSD from a 7200 RPM drive and there is no comparison.

You have to think a little more about space management, but it is worth it.
