Hey

This is my first time installing windows through BootCamp. edited the info.plist ( Bootcamp ) to enable USB. Successfully copied the windows iso file to USB 3.0 drive.

During installation at the end of finishing the setup i end up getting an error saying.

" Windows Could not update the computer's boot configuration".

" Windows could not prepare the computer to boot into the next phase".

I have no idea what to do know, tried resetting PRAM nothing helps.

Looks like the drive was not the correct format. Use FAT32 GUID, not FAT32 MBR. then start Boot Camp Assistant again and make sure all options are checked - download drivers, everything.

Are you on OS X 10.10.4? I was getting the same message when I tried to install W8.1 on OS X 10.10.4.
I reverted back to 10.10.3 and was able to complete the install with no problems.
It made me wonder if 10.10.4 broke the UEFI settings.

Make sure you have no extra external drives etc connected. I had similar issues with a USB drive connected.
