Can someone please help me remove the wifi sync application from my mac. I've tried everything, It is nowhere to be found in the computer. It is causing a huge problem when i try to restore my iphone. Thanks in advance.
All suggestions welcome.

How does that "wifi synch application" appear on your Mac?

Can you also be more specific about your setup? Do you have a Mac or a Windows PC? Which OS version and which iTunes version do you run?
What iOS version is on the iPhone?

Have a look at Activity Monitor ( Applications / Utilities / ) and select All Processes and sort by Name to see what the culprit may be and post it here.

image below uses sorting by CPU as an example

A more descriptive and precise thread title will help cater to the right audience and get you more responses. (see rule #3 under Minor Problems)
To edit your thread title, just click on the

button on the bottom right of your original post and then click the "Go Advanced" button below your message.

Have you also taken a look at MRoogle, since that question may have been asked several times?

3. Thread titles.
Use thread titles that indicate the subject of the thread, not generic titles such as "Need advice/help". Moderators may change thread titles that have no specifics, usually by adding something more specific in parentheses.

It's funny I just created a thread a few minutes ago and recall reading the disclaimer not to title your thread something generic like "Please Help."

Not really chastising, just thought it was funny... and so my reply isn't wasteful, I believe the uninstaller for wifi-sync can be found on this page: http://www.getwifisync.com

Sorry about the title just a bit frantic about the situation.
Im running Mac os 10.6.4, Iphone 4, and itunes 9.2.
I also don't know how to use the uninstaller from getwifisync.com help on that would be great as well. Thanks.

  1. Click on link
  2. Let .zip file download complete
  3. Locate .zip file
  4. Extract .zip file
  5. Click on extracted file called "uninstall"
  6. Terminal opens and asks you for your account password
  7. Enter password and press ENTER (password will not appear in any way, even no asterisks are show as placeholder)

Force Quit.

Did you restart the Mac, like the Uninstaller suggested?

do you happen to know the password ?

No, as it is your account and your account password you have to enter during the uninstall process. Again, when Terminal asks for a password, it usually asks for the password of the logged in user.

I did a restart it started working again but can't remember password.

Is there another way to get this done without the uninstaller ?
Thanks
