So I have a 13inch white macbook that I need to sell because I just upgraded to a MBP.

The macbook does not have iLife or iWork on it and it is running leopard. I do not have the original disks for the macbook but I do a Mac Box Set (includes snow leopard upgrade, iWork and iLife 09).

I am trying to wipe the HD essentially reformatting the computer by just deleted all my personal data of the computer.

Is there a way I can reformat using the snow leopard disc I have?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

You can, using Disk Utility, but make sure you choose to zero-out the hard drive so the files can’t be recovered. If you want to be really safe, download DBAN and run it:

http://www.dban.org/

will running DBAN delete the operating system (Mac OS X)?

Thanks for the response.
