I jailbroke my iPhone and restored it to a back-up afterwards to un-jailbreak.

The back-up I restored to is a back-up that was made BEFORE I ever jailbroke the iPhone.

Does that mean all traces of my jailbreak are gone now too?

I think some settings may stick around, like certain wallpapers and such, but theres ways to get rid of them if that is the case.

Does it look like an un-jailbroken iPhone?

The problem is:

I got a locked phone from the store, which is illegal in Belgium, so I have to return it.
But if there are traces of a jailbreak still on there, they won't replace it.
But I can't check the phone without a jailbreak/unlock anymore because my SIM is 'invalid'.

I just wanna know if a restore from back-up usually restores everything the way it was up to the moment the back-up was made?

If so, I'm safe, because I restored from a back-up when I hadn't jailbroken yet.

If that makes any sense.

Sorry, but I'm kinda in a rush. If I still want to make it to the store before closing time, I have to leave in about 10 minutes. Tomorrow the store's closed and I leave on a vacation on monday, so today's kinda my last shot.

Why did you restore to a backup?

I would've just reinstalled 3.0 and called it a day.

Odds are you're probably safe. Did you really mess with alot of the phone when it was jailbroken?

I know, I thought I 'just' reinstalled 3.0, but a few minutes ago, it hit me that I accidently restored from back-up instead of starting with a new phone.

When I jailbroke it, these are the things I did:
- run ultrasn0w
- install SBSettings + some toggles & themes
- install Winterboard + some themes
- install OpenSSH

Things I would worry about would be parts of themes and some notifications sticking around.

My buddy restored his jailbroken iPhone once, and some mail notification he had installed was still there. I've also seen wallpapers remain.

If the backup was made BEFORE you jailbroke, then you're safe. No worries.

OK, but they won't find that unless they're explicitly looking for it, right?

I seem to recall that restoring from a back up there was little things like the carrier mods and small jailbreak things still remained.
If you restore as a new phone it is a clean install.
When I have phone issues and it needs to go back I restore as a new phone and not syncing any files
