Hi
I have Macbook white and I purchased it a year and half ago. Till some days before it had been working on its peak, i.e. excellent performance, excellent battery life etc.

1. But for the past few days its performance has significantly deteriorated. Means, responses are awfully slow now. Trackpad doesn't register the moves that quickly as it used to, like scrolling upward and downward with two fingers used to be a breeze but now it's kind of in stages. Whatever I do, that multi-colored wheel is always there to show up. It never happened before. And I am not that sort of nerd who has always ten or twenty programs running simultaneously. Usually I have Safari, Tweet deck and Vuze running. And that’s it. I have 28 GB of memory free out of 120 GB. I always uninstall programs by using AppDelete.

2. I have Apple's own media player - Quicktime -and some others, VLC, Divx player and Real player installed in my Macbook. But a lot of times I download media files with a variety of extensions and all of these fail to play them and message says that codecs are not installed or these programs refuse to detect them as media files. So, can you please recommend me any other media player which won't have any problem in playing media files?

I'll appreciate if you guys can help me with these issues.

Thanks.
