Hello all,

I have a bunch of music that is already ripped. I am looking thru my music and noticed that some of the information in itunes is incorrect.

For example I have an old Star Wars OST that is 2 cds.

iTunes lists the album title as Star Wars on one of the discs and lists Star Wars - the original soundtrack on the other.

The way my ripping went the song information is part of file name and the folder structure. Therefore not only are the tags wrong but the file name and folder names as well. Is there a program that will allow me to make a change on say the ID3 tag that will correct the file name and the folder name?

Thanks!

As long as you have iTunes set to manage the organization of your library, it will change the folder and file names when you change the ID3 tags automatically. Just select all the tracks you want to change and hit Command+I to Get Info, and modify the fields you want. Easy as pie.

NICE I did not know that! Thanks!

is there any way to stop itunes doing the following file structure:

Artist -> Album -> Songs (files)

And just make it:

Artist -> Song (files)
