Hi!
Long story short:
My iPhone is currently showing up with the connect to itunes screen when its turned on. This happend after i tried to install the iOS 5 beta 7(or was it GM? cant remember 100%) I tried to go back to 4.3.5, but then it started with this connect to itunes stuff. when i plug it into itunes, and click restore it tries to install 4.3.5 (i think) and then it gives me the error 1604..
I'm not good at this at all, so what i did was send it into my local store, asked them to fix it. They called me today and said: we cannot fix this, because its caused by water damage... i think thats pretty weird. Of course, all i've told them is i cannot restore it, not that i've fiddled with the firmware etc.
So can any of you mighty gurus tell me what to do ?
(and please tell me in a simple way, coz' i'm sorta a noob at this, learning by doing.. apparently!)
Also worth noting: i got a macbook air, and a windows desktop pc, so i can try to fix it on either of those.
My macbook air has newest itunes (the official 10.5) and i can install pretty much any itunes version on my windows desktop. i know that the version of itunes can be important(am i right?)
Thanks for any help you can offer me!
