Need help ripping DVD-R to Mac

I'm trying to rip a DVD-R onto my Mac. I made the DVD-R a while back and it's in good condition. I've ripped other DVD-Rs before using MediaFork and it's worked, but this one DVD-R isn't being read by my Mac at all. I was wondering if the fact that it's a Sony DVD-R is preventing it from being read (I know that Sony products don't work on Macs). If that's so, are there any programs that'll read? Thanks

It might be a bad disc. Have you tried to read it on another computer?

well you can use mactheripper

or you can try handbrake (which is now more up to date than mediafork)

I doesn't sound like a professional DVD with lovely protection.

no it doesn't work on my mac book. i'll try a pc. it has worked on normal dvd players though.

i guess the dvd just broke or something, because it doesn't work on my pc or a normal dvd player anymore. but thanks for the help anyway
