Need Help. Selling MBA, How to Erase SSD?

Hi everyone

I've decided to sell my MacBook Air. I'm going to be selling it on eBay. Before I list it, though, I want to make sure I wipe the SSD of my data. Can anyone help me with how I would go about doing this? My plan is to do a full backup to my external drive, which would be the last backup of this computer, and then wipe it clean. Is there a way to do this myself? I was thinking of going to my local Apple store and asking them how to do it, but I figured someone here may have some advice.

You could enable FileVault, give it time to complete encryption, reformat, then install the OS. The encryption before the reformat will prevent access to you old data by the new owner.
