I just got my first Lacie 4big Quadra and am trying to set up my hardware RAID. I followed the directions in the manual, but when I connect the drive to my computer it shows 8TB, when it should only show 4TB because I set it to RAID 5 + spare (RAID 6). Can anyone help me do it correctly? What am I doing wrong?
I am going to be constantly accessing and changing the video and music files on the drive, so I chose RAID 5, but should I choose something else?
