Need help: -shared- Canon all-in-one scanning issue

hi there,

i have a Canon Pixma MP510 all in one inkjet printer. I just connected it my newly purchased Airport Extreme and it is not able to scan. It can print, but it won't scan a document or picture. I've used this all in one for a year being connected to my iMac via USB and no such problem occurred before.

Here is the error message i get;

cannot communicate with scanner. Cable may be disconnected or scanner may be turned off. check status. scanner. driver will be closed. 101.0.0"

i'd appreciate any help i can get.

PS: If i do plug it back to my imac via USB it does scan.

You may want to search around, but I believe that the AEBS does not support scanning from all-in-ones. The USB support is for printing only.

It may also be that the all in one does not support network scanning. Not all printers do.
