Need help to update ios

hey all,

I am using iphone 4 (ios 4.1 BB 2.10.04) locked to AT&T in India with gevey sim. I haven't jailbroken or updated ios so far.

But I want to update to iOS 5 and use it here in India. Is there anyway I can update my iOS? if possible please guide me to the links to help me do it.

P.S I am a newbie here and new to iphone world. So any help would be highly appreciated

Plug iPhone into computer and update with iTunes. Since you're not jailbroken or unlocked, you don't need to do anything special.

I wouldn't update. The baseband is updated in ios5 and is not compatible with gevey sim so your device would be locked. I am 99.9% sure of this.
