I have been trying to nail down what is causing a very strange problem with my new Mac Mini (see details here: https://discussions.apple.com/message/17221699#17221699)
I think I may have stumbled onto the root of the problem, but would like confirmation from someone else with a different machine. So if someone could try this, I would be very grateful:
The machine needs to have the latest version of Loin installed (10.7.2) and the latest version of adobe flash player.
For my tests, I have always run the computer with 2 users logged in at the same time (one admin and one standard) and have safari running on both users. Run the computer with both users logged in for 3 -4 days without a single restart, shutdown, sleep, or logout and see if anything strange starts to happen. For me, it was simply a matter of time before the beach balls began, regardless of RAM usage or applications (although, I always found it would start in safari) and restarting the computer fixed it right up. I have a hunch it is Flash, but need more testing to prove it.
If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks all!
