Need help transferring files through Migration Assistant

I just got the new Macbook and I am attempting to transfer my files from my old Macbook. They are both running Leopard and are Intel based. Every time I attempt to run Migration Assistant, the only thing that transfers are my applications. None of my documents, music or movies are transferring. What am I doing wrong?

Any help is much appreciated.
