need help!! (trouble with the home button)

I had trouble with the home button on my iphone 3g so i opened it and tried to fix it. When i put it back together the screen did not work, but the rest of the iphone works just fine. I have tried to put in both cable 1, 2 and 3 again but i still not working!! does anyone have i solution?

Make sure the connections are seeded firmly, you may have messed up the other end of the cord. Is it only the LCD that does not work or is the digilizer not working as well?
