My friend asked my to fix his macbook pro for him
model no.A1278
he said it was running slow and he did not care about the pics or anything on it. basically wanted to start fresh. so i took the computer home with me, watched some videos on how to delete everything from the Macintosh HD and POOF! uninstalled the OS!!!!!!
I booted the Mac, held down Cmd+R, went to "disk utilities" and erased it.
when i turn it on now it takes a few seconds the screen stays white and then a little folder with a "?" on it pops up. however if i boot it again and hold cmd+r it will still take me to the utility option menu.
what i have tried;
inserting "Mac OSX Snow Leopard 10.6.3" cd and after a few seconds it spits it back out. i have tried holding "c" when booting along with holding "option"
still no luck
i have also gone to disk utilities, startupdisk and tried from there with no luch ether.
If you have any advice please share!
P.S remember i deleted (erased) the Macintosh HD drive before backing anything up or putting the mac os cd in. I know, stupid of me.
