Well i installed office 2004 when i got my mbp but i just noticed my comp already had a trial version. Im trying to uninstall the trial but i need to choose between the two versions..

One is called:

uninstall Microsoft office 2004
uninstall Microsoft office X

I just dragged the folder for the trial to the trash. Is that ok?

MS Office is... a bit of a pain.

You've got to fully uninstall the trial in order to properly install the actual suite. Not sure what your best course of action at this point would be... if you can, use the included uninstaller to uninstall all of it.

Then install the '04 suite w/ the install disc.

DAmn. i already emptied the trash can with the trial folder in it.... I just opened word and it seems to work fine... but my free spaces seems to be the same as before i deleted it.

Microsoft Office 2004 has an uninstaller.

Goto Microsoft Office 2004 folder -> Additional Tools -> Remove Office

So is what i did ok and if not what can i do to fix it now?

all right i got everything fixed. thanks guys.
